Anglican Churches in Stafford

In Colonial Virginia, taxes and tithes were paid through and to the “Established” Anglican Church or Church of England.  Taxes were usually in the form of “hogs Heads” of tobacco (shown here) highly markable products in Great Britain.  Two early churches were parish churches, Aquia Church of Overwharten Parish, and Potomac Church of Potomac Parish.
